Our Story
Cor Blimey [ kàwr blīmē]
1.expressing amazement or admiration
Actually, "Cor Blimey!" is derived from the middle-aged expression "God, Blind Me!", used when someone saw something they shouldn't have. Commonly used in expressions by upper-class brits, etc, when in shock, surprised etc. mainly as a form of really stupid exaggeration.
After growing up in England, I moved, along with my entire family, to Texas. It was also in Texas that I met and married my husband David....who, ironically, is from England too! (well he is actually Welsh but we won't hold that against him). We are the proud parent's of three of our very own Texans.
I attended Lamar University where I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Graphic Design. I then became a mother. It was during a "meet the parents" session at my child's welcome to Kindergarten class that I was handed the flyer that said "Mom, Get a Life". So, that's exactly what I did!
Cor Blimey! Designs was born .....and grew and grew and grew. Thanks to niece Hannah for repeatedly saying," Cor blimey guvnah" and unwittingly helping me come up with my name.
